Architourist.ca discusses the location of architectural works that are typically private property.   A goal of Architourist.ca is to appreciate and examine these locations in the light of architecture, art and engineering.  We do so through discussion of architectural publications, architects’ materials and mapping or geolocation and imaging services such as Google Maps,  Microsoft Bing and others.   All location-specific information gathered by this website is publicly and freely available. Sometimes it takes ingenuity and determination to find a precise location from this information.  Generally, we will not disclose a precise location unless it has been previously published, is generally disclosed in available documentation or is easily determined by search.

We respect the privacy of property owners and occupants and request that you do, too.

Architourist.ca presents these works digitally so that you don’t have to visit them physically.

Please do not attempt to visit a private property mentioned on Architourist.ca unless you can do so though a channel authorized by the property owner.
